Description
TransEZInsect™ Transfection Reagent is an extremely efficient novel insect cell transfection reagent based on the latest transfection technologies such as cationic lipids. This product offers high transfection efficiency, simple operation, low cell toxicity, and good repeatability, achieving results comparable to the most widely used insect cell transfection reagents in the international market.
This product is suitable for transfecting pFastBac1 and other linear virus expression vector plasmid DNA into insect cells such as Sf9, Sf21, and High Five™, for protein expression in Bac-to-Bac®, BaculoDirect™, and InsectSelect™ expression systems.
TransEZInsect™ transfection reagent has undergone extensive optimization specifically for insect cells, resulting in remarkably high transfection efficiency. The measured positive rate for Sf9 insect cells can exceed 98%. Conventional lipid-based cell transfection reagents like TransEZ6000™ Transfection Reagent are not suitable for successfully transfecting insect cells; specialized transfection reagents for insect cells are necessary.
TransEZInsect™ Transfection Reagent offers a simple operation, and its usage method is entirely identical to the commonly used Cellfectin® II Reagent.
After transfecting with TransEZInsect™ Transfection Reagent, elevated protein expression levels are typically achieved within 96 hours.
The transfection efficiency of TransEZInsect™ Transfection Reagent can be rapidly assessed by transfecting bacmid expressing fluorescent proteins such as EGFP.
For cell transfection in a six-well plate, one package of 0.5ml transfection reagent can transfect approximately 60 wells, one package of 1.5ml transfection reagent can transfect approximately 180 wells, and one package of 7.5ml transfection reagent can transfect approximately 900 wells.
Storage
Store at 4°C. For long-term storage, it can be stored at -20°C.
Precaution
- Using high-purity DNA contributes to achieving higher transfection efficiency.
- Prior to transfection, insect cells must be in a good state of growth.
- You need to prepare serum-free insect cell culture medium without antibiotics, such as SFX-INSECT (SH30278, Hyclone), Grace's Insect Medium, Unsupplemented (11595030, Gibco), Grace's Insect Medium, Supplemented (11605094, Gibco), etc.
- TransEZInsect™ Transfection Reagent should not be vortexed or centrifuged; it is best mixed by gently rocking.
- After use, please immediately close the lid of TransEZInsect™ Transfection Reagent to prevent prolonged exposure to air, which could affect transfection efficiency.
- This product is harmful to humans; handle with care and take effective protective measures to avoid direct contact with the body or inhalation.
- This product is intended for use by professionals in scientific research only and must not be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment, food, or drugs, and should not be stored in regular residences.
- For your safety and health, wear appropriate lab attire and disposable gloves while handling.
