Description
TransEZ293F™ Transfection Reagent is an extremely efficient novel transfection reagent based on cationic liposomes. It is specifically designed for transfecting suspension-cultured HEK293 cells, such as Freestyle™ 293-F, for plasmid transfection and large-scale recombinant protein expression.
The transfection efficiency of TransEZ293F™ Transfection Reagent for Freestyle™ 293-F cells is very high (approximately 85%). It has minimal cell toxicity, good reproducibility, easy operation, and does not require changing the culture medium after transfection.
TransEZ293F™ Transfection Reagent is also suitable for transfecting adherent 293 series cells. However, for transfecting adherent 293 series cells, it is recommended to use the more cost-effective TransEZ293™ reagent.
The presence of serum during transfection with TransEZ293F™ Transfection Reagent does not affect transfection efficiency. This eliminates the need to remove serum during transfection, thereby reducing potential damage to cells caused by the removal of serum, a common step when using other cationic liposome-based reagents.
TransEZ293F™ Transfection Reagent exhibits minimal toxicity and does not require changing the culture medium after transfection. This ensures both optimal cell growth conditions for high-level expression of the target protein and reduces the number of steps involved in the process, saving on culture medium.
After transfection of Freestyle™ 293-F cells with TransEZ293F™ Transfection Reagent, the desired protein expression from the transfected plasmid is typically achieved within 48-72 hours.
The transfection efficiency of TransEZ293F™ Transfection Reagent can be rapidly assessed using plasmids expressing fluorescent proteins such as EGFP.
Each milliliter of TransEZ293F™ Transfection Reagent can transfect 500 milliliters of suspended culture of 293-F cells.
Storage
Store at 4°C. For long-term storage, it can be stored at -20°C. Precipitation may occur after storage at -20°C. To completely dissolve the precipitate, incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes before using for cell transfection.
Precaution
- Using high-purity DNA contributes to achieving higher transfection efficiency.
- After storage at -20°C or lower temperatures, this product may freeze and form precipitate upon dissolution. To completely dissolve the precipitate, incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes before using for cell transfection. This will not affect the performance. Upon receipt, the product may show precipitation after dissolution due to low-temperature transport, such as dry ice. Incubating at 37°C for 30 minutes to ensure complete dissolution will allow normal usage. If a small amount of precipitation remains after the 37°C incubation, it can be gently mixed and used directly. Testing has shown that this will not affect performance.
- Cells must be in a good growth state before transfection.
- Prepare serum-free Freestyle™ 293-F cell culture medium without antibiotics.
- TransEZ293F™ transfection reagent should not be vortexed or centrifuged. Gently tapping with a pipette or slow shaking can be used for mixing.
- After use, immediately close the lid of TransEZ293F™ transfection reagent to avoid prolonged exposure to air, which can affect transfection efficiency.
- This product is harmful to humans. Handle with care, and take necessary precautions to prevent direct contact or inhalation.
- This product is intended for scientific research by professionals only. It should not be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment, or for food or drugs. Do not store it in a regular household setting.
- For your safety and health, wear appropriate lab attire and disposable gloves when handling.
