Description

tPAIC (tissue-type plasminogen activator and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 complex) is a 1:1 complex formed by tissue-type plasminogen activator (tPA) and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1). It serves as a comprehensive indicator of fibrinolytic system dysfunction and vascular endothelial cell damage, making it a significant biomarker in the process of venous thrombosis. Elevated levels of tPAIC are closely associated with various cardiovascular diseases, including atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, essential hypertension, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary thromboembolism, and cerebral thrombosis. Furthermore, tPAIC is a sensitive marker for evaluating the efficacy of anticoagulation or thrombolytic therapy, as well as for the screening and diagnosis of hemorrhagic disorders.
