Cat. No.: SCD310-02 (for 250 µl×5)
Description
Supercoiled DNA Ladder consists of 8 bands ranging in length from 2kb to 15kb, composed of supercoiled plasmid DNA. It dissolves in 1×Loading Buffer and can be conveniently used by directly electrophoresing 5-10 μl. This product includes two specially added electrophoresis indicator dyes, red and yellow, which do not compromise the visibility of DNA under ultraviolet light. They exhibit better performance compared to commonly used electrophoresis indicator dyes such as bromophenol blue and xylene cyanol.
Features
- High Practicality: Composed of 8 supercoiled plasmid DNA fragments ranging in length from 2kb to 15kb, covering all common plasmid fragment ranges.
- Ease of Operation: After extracting plasmid DNA, simply perform gel electrophoresis, compare with the Supercoiled DNA Ladder, and accurately determine the plasmid DNA lengths (see the diagram below).
- Brand New Upgrade: Two optimized loading buffer dyes have been added, ensuring fluorescence brightness without obscuring DNA bands, offering advantages over traditional dyes.
- User-Friendly Experience: Can be conveniently stored at room temperature (15°C-25°C) for easy use.
- Perfect Match: Comes with a complementary rapid plasmid DNA reagent kit, enhancing experimental efficiency.
Specification
Supercoiled DNA Ladder consists of eight DNA fragments ranging from 2000 to 15000 bp and is supplied in loading buffer containing tracking dye and precipitant for PAGE gel electrophoresis, which is in a convenient ready-to-load format. The recommended volume for each lane is 5ul, and the amount of each band is 2000 bp, 3000 bp, 4000 bp, 5000 bp, 6000 bp, 8000 bp, 10000 bp, 15000 bp.
Notes
- When the width of the sample well during electrophoresis is less than 5 mm, clear bands can be obtained by electrophoresing 5 μl of DNA ladder each time. If the width of the sample well increases, the amount of DNA ladder should be increased accordingly.
- For DNA electrophoresis, the purity of Agarose significantly affects the clarity of DNA bands. Therefore, it is recommended to use high-quality Agarose with a gel concentration of 0.7% to 1% for electrophoresis.
- During Agarose electrophoresis, the concentration of Agarose is closely related to the separation performance of DNA fragments. A higher Agarose concentration improves the separation performance of short DNA fragments, while a lower Agarose concentration is advantageous for the separation of long DNA fragments.
