Description
Red Dye for PAGE Stacking Gel, 500X, without Migration is a dye used for preparing red polyacrylamide stacking gels. This red dye allows clear visualization of protein sample wells, facilitating sample loading and easy identification of distorted or damaged wells. The dye does not migrate during electrophoresis.
This red dye remains stable in the stacking gel (also known as concentrating gel, stacking gel, or stacking layer) and does not enter the separating gel during electrophoresis. It does not interfere with the electrophoresis and staining results. After electrophoresis, it is convenient to identify the stacking gel and remove it, facilitating experiments such as gel transfer for separation purposes.
For a 1.0mm thick gel, approximately 2ml of stacking gel is required per gel. To prepare the stacking gel, add 2μl of Red Dye for PAGE Stacking Gel (500X, without migration) per 1ml of stacking gel solution. In this case, each 1ml of the red dye can be used to prepare approximately 250 gels.
