Description
Recombinant Catalase, also known as hydrogen peroxide enzyme (CAT), is derived from bovine liver catalase gene and recombinantly expressed in E. coli. It catalyzes the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and acts as an antioxidant enzyme. The recombinant catalase has the same performance as the naturally extracted enzyme, but with higher purity. It is primarily used in antioxidant research (studying the effects of reactive oxygen species on gene expression and apoptosis), removal of residual hydrogen peroxide in food products, enzyme assays, and other applications. This product is available as a brown lyophilized powder.
