Description
Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail B (50X) is a mixture of phosphatase inhibitors used for protein extraction from animal cells or tissues, fungi, bacteria, and plants, as well as for other related purposes. It contains 100mM imidazole, 50mM sodium fluoride, 57.5mM sodium molybdate, 50mM sodium orthovanadate, and 200mM sodium tartrate dihydrate in H2O, and can broadly inhibit Tyr, acid, and alkaline phosphatases in protein extracts.
Extracts from cells or tissues contain many endogenous proteases and phosphatases that can lead to protein degradation or dephosphorylation, affecting subsequent protein detection. Adding appropriate protease and phosphatase inhibitors to the extracts is an effective method to prevent protein degradation and dephosphorylation. This phosphatase inhibitor cocktail can effectively inhibit common phosphatases from dephosphorylating proteins, maintaining the original phosphorylation state of the proteins.
This product is an optimized and tested phosphatase inhibitor cocktail for protein extraction from animal cells or tissues, fungi, bacteria, and plants, containing inhibitors for Tyr, acid, and alkaline phosphatases.
The phosphatase inhibitor cocktail contains 100mM imidazole, 50mM sodium fluoride, 57.5mM sodium molybdate, 50mM sodium orthovanadate, and 200mM sodium tartrate dihydrate, prepared in ultrapure water.
This product is convenient to use; typically, it is added to the lysis buffer at a 1:50 ratio for protein extraction from samples, effectively inhibiting protein dephosphorylation.
This product can effectively inhibit various phosphatases in protein extracts, such as Tyr, acid, and alkaline phosphatases. Imidazole is a reversible inhibitor of alkaline phosphatases; sodium fluoride is a reversible inhibitor of acid phosphatases; sodium molybdate is an irreversible inhibitor of acid phosphatases; sodium orthovanadate is a reversible inhibitor of alkaline and Tyr phosphatases; and sodium tartrate dihydrate is a reversible inhibitor of acid phosphatases.
Storage
Store at -20°C, valid for one year.
