Description
PCR Buffer Set provides three ready-to-use 10X PCR buffers (some containing PCR enhancers), as well as one 10X PCR Buffer (without Mg2+) that does not contain magnesium ions or PCR enhancers. This allows users to adjust the magnesium ion concentration and optimize PCR conditions to select the best PCR buffer for specific PCR reactions.
This PCR Buffer Set can be used for optimizing PCR conditions with various common thermostable DNA polymerases such as Taq DNA polymerase and Pfu DNA polymerase.
PCR buffers containing magnesium ions can also have additional magnesium ions added as needed to adjust PCR reaction conditions.
- 10X PCR Buffer (with Mg2+): 100 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.8 at 25°C), 500 mM KCl, 15 mM MgCl2, 0.8% (v/v) Nonidet P40.
- 10X PCR Buffer B (with Mg2+): Contains ammonium sulfate and Tween 20, and 15 mM MgCl2.
- 10X PCR Buffer C (with Mg2+): Contains potassium chloride, ammonium sulfate, Triton X-100, and BSA, and 20 mM MgSO4.
- 10X PCR Buffer (without Mg2+): 100 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.8 at 25°C), 500 mM KCl.
- 10X PCR Buffer (with Mg2+): 1 ml
- 10X PCR Buffer B (with Mg2+): 1 ml
- 10X PCR Buffer C (with Mg2+): 1 ml
- 10X PCR Buffer (without Mg2+): 1 ml
- MgCl2 (25 mM): 1 ml
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Precautions
- Since PCR reactions are highly sensitive and can amplify the target gene sequence over 10 million times, please take care to avoid contamination with trace amounts of DNA to be amplified. It is advisable to set up a blank control without a template to confirm whether there is contamination of the DNA to be amplified.
