Description

PBS is a white to off-white instant soluble granule. Each pouch of PBS instant granules can be used to prepare 2 L of 1× PBS buffer solution, making it easy and convenient to use. The main components of PBS are sodium chloride, potassium chloride, and phosphate. In 1× PBS buffer solution, the concentration of sodium chloride is 137 mM, potassium chloride is 2.7 mM, and phosphate is 10 mM.

PBS is a widely used buffer solution in biology and can be used in immunological assays, microbiological experiments, protein biochemistry experiments, and more. The PBS buffer solution prepared using PBS instant granules, after passing through a 0.22 μm sterile filter, can be applied to cell culture, washing, and other related experiments.

Components

• PBS: 50 Pouches (50×2 L)

Protocol

1. Measure approximately 1200 ml of distilled water and add it to a beaker. Place a magnetic stir bar into the beaker.

2. Position the beaker on a magnetic stirrer and slowly add the entire contents of 1 pouch of PBS instant granules. Stir the solution until it is completely dissolved.

3. Add distilled water to the PBS solution from step 2, filling it up to 2 L, thus obtaining a 1× solution.
