Description
Nucleic Acid and Protein Stabilization Reagent for Animal Tissue is a non-toxic and harmless liquid reagent used for the collection of animal tissue. It rapidly stabilizes and preserves nucleic acids and proteins in the tissue at room temperature, with no need for special handling conditions. This product is widely used for the stabilization and preservation of RNA, DNA, and proteins in fresh animal tissue or cell samples.
Advantages
- This product has a wide range of applications. It can be used for stabilizing and preserving RNA, DNA, and proteins in various animal tissue samples, such as liver, brain, lung, spleen, kidney, heart, muscle, bone tissue, and others. It can also be used for preserving certain plant samples. When using this reagent for protein stabilization and preservation, it will not cause protein denaturation, allowing for subsequent experiments like Western Blot, SDS-PAGE, and enzyme activity assays, as well as all routine protein experiments. After removing the samples, they can be directly homogenized and subjected to tissue lysis and protein extraction using conventional methods.
- The effectiveness of this product is comparable to that of liquid nitrogen freezing. It rapidly penetrates into the tissues, completely inhibiting RNase, DNase, and proteinase, thereby preventing degradation of RNA, DNA, and proteins in the tissue samples. It maintains the integrity of RNA, DNA, and proteins in the tissue samples, allowing for long-term preservation, similar to liquid nitrogen.
- This product is safe and convenient. It is non-toxic and non-irritating, allowing for usage at room temperature, ensuring safety and convenience during application. Compared to using liquid nitrogen, it effectively avoids potential safety hazards like frostbite and centrifuge tube rupture caused by ultra-low temperatures of liquid nitrogen. Additionally, it is easy to carry and transport.
This product is suitable for stabilizing and preserving RNA, DNA, and proteins in regular fresh tissue samples. It is especially suitable for situations where RNA (including small RNA like miRNA), DNA, or protein extraction cannot be performed immediately after sample collection. It is particularly applicable to samples collected in the field or in clinical settings, large-scale collection of animal tissue samples, and situations where immediate freezing of samples is not possible, requiring stabilization and preservation.
The storage time and temperature of samples using this product are related; for example, at 37°C, samples can be stored for 1-2 days, at 25°C for one week, at 4°C for one month, and at -20°C for long-term.
Storage
Store sealed at room temperature or 4°C, valid for one year.
Precaution
- This product can be aspirated using a pipette, but due to its viscosity being similar to glycerol, please trim the tip of the pipette gun with scissors before aspiration.
- After each use, tighten the bottle cap or lock the press pump to ensure airtight storage of the product to avoid affecting its effectiveness.
- If this product is stored under conditions lower than room temperature, the viscosity of the reagent will increase. It should be equilibrated to room temperature (approximately 25°C) before use.
- After appropriately processing the obtained tissue samples, they should be rapidly and completely immersed in this reagent.
- This reagent is only suitable for stabilizing and preserving RNA, DNA, and proteins in fresh animal tissue samples and cannot be used for previously frozen samples. Frozen samples are difficult to rapidly infiltrate with this reagent during the slow thawing process, leading to inadequate prevention of nucleic acid and protein degradation.
- After preservation with this product, the samples may become slightly harder, which is normal and will not affect the homogenization and lysis of tissues during subsequent RNA, DNA, or protein extraction.
- If the samples need to be stored at -20°C or -80°C for a long time, they should be kept at 4°C overnight or for a longer period before being transferred to -20°C or -80°C to ensure more effective and complete infiltration of tissues with this reagent.
- After preservation, samples stored at -20°C or -80°C should be thawed and equilibrated to room temperature before sampling. It is recommended to minimize the number of freeze-thaw cycles for samples protected with this reagent to avoid degradation. For protein analysis, especially enzyme activity assays, the number of freeze-thaw cycles should not exceed 5 times; for RNA and DNA analysis, the number of freeze-thaw cycles can be increased to 15 times. This product itself usually does not affect enzyme activity, but for some enzymes that are highly sensitive to repeated freeze-thawing, this product cannot alleviate the inhibitory effects of repeated freeze-thaw cycles on enzyme activity.
- When preserving plant samples, surface waxes should be removed to ensure that this reagent can fully penetrate the tissues.
- This product is for scientific research use by professionals only and is not intended for clinical diagnosis or treatment, food or drug use, or storage in regular residences.
- For your safety and health, please wear lab attire and disposable gloves when handling.
Only for research and not intended for treatment of humans or animals
