Description

Fluorescein-12-UTP can replace UTP as a substrate for various RNA synthesis enzymes, modifying enzymes, and polymerases, including T3, T7, or SP6 RNA polymerases, in most cases, enabling green fluorescence labeling of RNA. For example, Fluorescein-labeled RNA green fluorescence probes can be generated through in vitro transcription. Following gel electrophoresis, the fluorescence of Fluorescein-labeled RNA is clearly visible upon excitation, without the need for further staining. FITC-labeled probes are suitable for various applications such as FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization), microarray analysis, imprinting detection, and multicolor fluorescence analysis. Fluorescein-12-UTP can also be incorporated into RNA synthesized inside cells to label newly synthesized RNA. The excitation/emission wavelengths are 495/521nm, respectively.
