Description
When guided by RNA, Cas12b recognizes and cleaves the target DNA, activating its "collateral cleavage" activity, efficiently cleaving nonspecific DNA in the system. By designing Reporter DNA labeled with fluorescent groups or other markers at both ends, CRISPR/Cas12b can detect and amplify signals of DNA templates. The results can then be observed using a fluorometer or test paper. It is characterized by its tolerance to high temperatures of 60~65°C, and can be used in conjunction with LAMP isothermal amplification.
